Going Green

I just had to share one of my new obsessions. Greenproofing! I’m cleaning up my act and helping my clients “green” their nurseries too. I’ll be sharing my discoveries with you in the coming weeks and hope that you’ll be inspired to make some changes in your home as well.

One of my favorite resources is the Environmental Working Group. You can find all sorts of useful information there, but one of the simplest ways to start living a non-toxic life is to eat clean foods. As you probably know, eating organically can be pretty pricey, but it’s so important to keep pesticides and other toxic chemicals out of your food.

Did you know there are some foods that you don’t have to buy organically?  The EWG has an awesome resource called The Dirty Dozen and The Clean 15. Visit the website for a handy guide that you can print out and keep in your wallet. When you head for the produce department, you can pull out your list and easily see which fruits and veggies need to be organic and which ones you can buy conventionally. Brilliant!

Do you have any favorite green tips or resources? Let’s hear ’em!
