A Lovely Note from a Consulting Client
I just listened to Keegan talk himself to sleep in 5 minutes, and it reminded me that I never thanked you for your final emails. Most of my friends are done having babies but I will be chasing down pregnant ladies in the street to tell them about you! Thanks again for everything.
As the mother of a 4 year old who still needs help falling asleep, I vowed to do better with my next child. But I once again found myself nursing my baby to sleep, and putting him in a swing just to get him to nap for more than 20 minutes at a time. I knew I was creating bad habits, but didn’t know what else to do. During a late night feeding session I came across Cortney’s blog; her reasonable and encouraging advice resonated with me. I called her the next day and was impressed by her warm and reassuring manner. We arranged a phone & email consultation.
Sleep teaching is emotionally challenging, and Cortney Gibson is exactly the person I needed to support me in that effort. She is compassionate, funny, and most importantly, tremendously knowledgeable. My trust in her experience gave me the courage I never would have had on my own to teach my baby healthy sleep habits. At 5 months old, my son is a happy, well-rested baby. Each time I listen to him talk himself to sleep, it feels like a miracle. This is the best decision I have made as a parent, and my only regret is not calling Cortney sooner. Do yourself and your child the favor of enlisting her help!
